This feature allows staff to inspect student-level details quickly without leaving the Students page.

Most common use case

Open a student to review notes, reading fluency assessments (BOY/MOY/EOY), checkpoints, and goal context.

How to open the drawer

  1. Go to Students.
  2. Find a student in the table.
  3. Click the student name.
Notes:
  • Admins can always open the drawer from student name.
  • Teachers can open it only when assessment access is enabled.

What data is shown

Top summary:
  • Student name
  • Student code
  • Grade
  • School year
  • External student ID (if present)
Content sections:
  • Notes
    • Admin: can add/edit notes and optional link
    • Teacher: note is view-only
  • Reading Fluency Progress
    • Scheduled assessments by period (BOY/MOY/EOY)
    • Checkpoints
    • Tier displays where available
  • Goals
    • Admin-only create/edit

How to add or edit data from drawer

  1. Open the drawer.
  2. For scheduled assessments, use add/edit actions in period cards.
  3. For checkpoints, use + Add Checkpoint and edit as needed.
  4. For notes/accommodations:
    • Admin can add/edit
    • Teacher can only view

Unsaved-changes behavior

  • Drawer prevents accidental loss with discard prompts when there are unsaved edits.
